Child Care & Education
Kindergarten through to Year 6 school education is available in each of the Shire's six towns, with Coolamon and Ardlethan Central Schools offering classes from Kindergarten through to Year 12. There are Primary Schools at Beckom, Ganmain, Matong and Marrar. Coolamon also has St Michaels Catholic Primary School, and Ganmain has St Brendans Primary School. The Shire has three PreSchools and a Children's Daycare and Home-Based Child Care Facilities are also available.
The Wagga Wagga Campus of Charles Sturt University is located only 25 minutes drive from Coolamon and a campus of the Riverina Institute of TAFE is also located at Wagga Wagga. The Riverina Community College and other training facilities provide outreach services to the Coolamon Community.
