Noxious Weeds

The Noxious Weeds team performs the following functions:
- Control noxious weeds on Council land
- Detection of new weed incursions
- To conduct private property inspections as per the Noxious Weeds Act under Section 43 and 44 of the Act
- Enforcement of the Noxious Weeds Act under Section 12
- Advise and liaise with private landholders and community groups in regards to Noxious Weeds
- Develop and implement local weeds control plans consistent with Regional priorities
- Administering, compliance and reporting on State government funding requirements
- Roadside vegetation control
- Release of biological control agents
- Town maintenance works
- Private works
