Rates and charges collected by Council go towards the community as a whole. They are used to provide services for residents and fund projects that are in the interests of the community.
We are currently preparing a Rates and Charges Fact Sheet that will be available for download from this website soon. In the meantime, please contact Council on 02 6930 1800.
Online rate payments can be made via the DEFT Payment Systems. To make a payment online you will need to know your DEFT reference number which can be found at the bottom of your rates notices.
To receive a pensioner rebate for rates and charges you must generally be the owner of the property for which you are applying, the property must be your principal place of residence and you must have a current pensioner concession card issued by Centrelink or by the Department of Veteran's Affairs. A Pensioner Concession Application form is required to be completed and returned to Council to claim the concession.
