Tree Removal Form

If you require a tree to be removed from Council, public or crown land, please complete the Coolamon Shire Council Tree Removal Form and return it to Council so an assessment can be undertaken.

Pension Rebates

To receive a pensioner rebate for rates and charges you must generally be the owner of the property for which you are applying, the property must be your principal place of residence and you must have a current pensioner concession card issued by Centrelink or by the Department of Veteran's Affairs. A Pensioner Concession Application form is required to be completed and returned to Council to claim the concession.

Direct Debits

To pay your rates by direct debit, you may nominate an amount and have it deducted from your bank account on a periodic basis, whether it be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly. A Direct Debit Request form is required to be completed and returned to the Council.

Section 138 Road Opening Permit

Coolamon Shire Council is the Road Authority for public roads within Coolamon Shire, with the exception of freeways and crown roads. To undertake work/activity on, or alongside, public roads an Section 138 permit must first be obtained. This advises Council of the planned work/activity and allows Council to assess the necessary implementation of standards relevant to the work/activity being proposed. These specific standards need to be identified and adhered to, ensuring Coolamon Shire roads are kept safe and well maintained.

Certificates

Coolamon Shire Council has an online service in which customers can order and pay for Certificates and other property information requests using a credit card via our website.

The request for the information available through this facility usually arises when a property is being purchased or sold. The information issued by this Council is:

  • Section 10.7 Planning Certificates (10.7 (2) &/or (5)) - specifying planning requirements and restrictions that apply to a parcel of land.

  • Section 603 Rating Certificates specifying any outstanding rates, charges and debts payable to Council in respect of a parcel of land.

  • Section 121ZP and 735A Certificates specifying outstanding health and building notices in respect of the land as at the date of the certificate.

  • Building Certificate issued under Sections 149B-F of the EP&A Act stating whether there is any cause for Council to take proceedings for a building to be demolished, altered, added to or rebuilt.

Certificates are issued on an assessment basis or part thereof. You will be required to pay the fees based on the number of assessments.
